Taken from the classical work of Sandro Botticelli's Birth of Venus’ I depicted a modern-day version of Venus in my own artistic style. In my painting, Venus is pictured on a shell with a soft pastel sky behind her, yet the main focus of this painting is the type of woman represented.
Though there’s been an increase of the representation of plus sized women in mass media, it is still not common to see plus sized women being admired for her beauty alone especially within art. Venus presence is calming whilst drawing slight ripples of calming waves towards her
