To honor black women in their melanin forms, I sought to create an aesthetically pleasing painting with purple/pink clouds and a moon. I captured a black goddess floating amongst the butterflies, to add a sense of energy and vivacity to the piece. An ode to the beauty of black women, Melanin Sleeps celebrates the magic and majesty of melanin forms.

Care Instructions

Open gently with freshly cleaned and dry hands. 

Please note smaller prints come packaged in clear pockets; remove carefully to avoid the sticky part sticking to the back of the print.
