Experience the royal intimacy of 'Devotion,' where love transcends with divine connection. This masterpiece features celestial Gods of love in a balcony scene within their palace, with Cupid soaring in the sky, embodying the essence of love. Inspired by African mythology, particularly the Yoruba Deities like Oshun and Ogun, I crafted unique characters symbolizing love and sensuality.
The royal blue signifies both stability and wisdom in their clothing and drapery. The Adinkra symbol (Gye Nyame) on the pillar represents their high supremacy as the Gods of Love. Additionally, mandala patterns in their clothing nod to European art.
